Newest Review: ... wooded boxes with crude crosses placed on top of them. Two years have passed since my visit to Rwanda. I think about the people there often, and still have the odd nightmare. Dispite the horrors that I saw, the lasting memory I brought back with me was one of a people of such pride and strength that they would put most of us to shame. I'm not quite sure of where to put this opinion. It's not exactly a travel destination recomendation. It is, however, something that I really want to write about, and as I can't find a category for overseas heartache - this category will have to do. Two years ago, my favourite radio station - 2FM (based in Dublin) advertised for a listener to go to Rwanda to report back on the progress being made 5 years after the genocide that had taken place there.It nvolved travelling with a reporter & photographer from The Star and reps from Trocaire - an Irish overseas aid agency.
