Sao Paulo is a strange city. It is home to the multi million pound grand prix circus that visits Brazil once a year. Yet next to the Sao Paulo circuit's glitz and glamour lies the poverty of the shanty towns that make up the majority of the city. Here people are begging and struggling to feed their families in one of the fastest growing civilisations in the world. People often think of the Rio carnival when they talk of Brazil or the lavely beaches. People often forget the other side to Brazil. The side of disease and poverty and poor quality of living. There is a very distinct "them and us" culture developing in Brazil. You either have it or you dont.

You shouldn't judge something that you don't know. Have you ever been to Sao Paulo? It is true that Sao Paulo has problems, such as any megalopolis in any developing nation does... but making your mind by watching a television show!!! For your information: despite poverty, Sao Paulo still offers opportunities for millions of people who have been migrating to this city during the last 30 years (I wouldn't think that London didn't face such problems during the industrial revolution, when millions of people decided to migrate to the city at once). Anyways... Sao Paulo is also considered a city with a large middle-class portion, it offers excellent cultural events and diversity. Thousands of people from Europe and Asia migrated once to this city. Nowadays they are all Brazilians. They worked hard, and many of them make a reasonable good living today. And... despite the stress and the traffic jams, people in Sao Paulo are normally very proud of their city... regardless of their social position.

ok, there's a lot of poverty in Brazil but don't judge anything before you know it specially if you just seen it on tv, I've lived there all my life and yes, there's misery, yes there's a lot of chanty towns but they do not constitute most of the city, and yes there are these stupd people who think them and us, but there's also lots of charity institutions and ongs trying (and fighting hard for it) to reverse the situation. It's not everything carnival but not grey either. Also-the Gran Prix is the least glamorous thing about the city.
