Sedona

Newest Review: ... get confusing for people that are not used to this. Also, don't drive at night. Sedona doesn't believe in street lights as well. I was driving back to my hotel at night after dinner, and could not see anything, even with my high beams on. If an animal would have jumped out from the woods, there would be no way I could stop my car before I hit it. There are a lot of stores here to enjoy. My girlfriend and I spent a whole morning just walking up and down a street going from store to store. There are a lot of Western and American Indian themed stores, as well as restaurants. In the town you can find plenty of places to eat that offer dif... more

Premium Review Sedona: An average Arizona city (370 words)

I was just in Sedona on vacation May 20-21st and it was a great experience. For those people that have never seen red rock mountains, this is a must see. The views are beautiful. For those that live in rock mountains, it really isn't super impressive. Driving here is terrible. I stayed on the entrace of Sedona when you get off the highway, so I had to drive 7 miles into the heart of the town. 7 miles doesn't sound like a lot, but it is when you only have one road in and out. Sedona apparently does not believe in street lights and has a bunch of small roundabouts at their intersections. This can get confusing for people that are not used to this. Also, don't ...  Read the complete review

Sedona, Arizona is one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is home to some of the most breathtaking red rock formations in the USA. Sedona can be found in the northern Verde Valley in the stae of Arizona. People first settled there in 1879. The town was named after teh first postmasters wife, Sedona Schnebly. It has now become a popular tourist location as well as a retirement location for many people moving away from teh high prices in California as the state is right next door. Famous landmark rocks in the nearby vicinity are Snoopy (meant to look like the peanuts character lying down on top of the doghouse), Coffee Pot rock, Bell Rock ...  Read the complete review

Now, I have just been made redundant, as most of you will now know, and I was hoping that as a result, I would be able to travel to Arizona, with my Hubby on Business. He is there this week, and this is why I can sit up until all hours on the internet without being nagged!! Unfortunately, due to commitments at home (signing on at the broo, and a diabetic cat needing insulin every morning), and cashflow reasons (broke, and owed wages and notice from a company in administration!), I reluctantly decided to stay at home. Now it isn't like I have never been to Arizona before. Quite the contrary. My previous employer (but one!), was headquartered in Arizona, and ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Mystical Sedona (350 words)

We had a couple of days in Sedona during a trip to the South West USA in April 2001. Sedona is supposed to be the Vortex Capitol of the World and very mystical. The high street is heaving with Tarot Card Readers and Spiritualists etc. I knew about this before I got there but didn’t tell my husband as he’s not into all that kind of stuff and I though it may put him off. I need not have worried as he hardly noticed the funky mystics against the breathtaking scenery that surrounds Sedona. In every direction there are stunning red rock formations. All the buildings in Sedona itself are painted sandstone red and leaf green to blend into the surrounding ...  Read the complete review
