SevilleNewest Review: ... Here there were numerous different places to eat or drink and it was the place where we found the latest bars. To get between Seville and Gibraltar we hired a car. The driving within the city was difficult and the drivers were a little erratic, however, once we got on the motorway, the roads were mainly clear and it took around 2 hours to reach the South coast. In summary, I would highly ... more |

Last summer, my husband and I decided to visit Seville for a few days. We chose it for it's proximity to the south coast of Spain so we were able to combine a city break with a week in the Sun. We spent 2 night in Seville, 6 night in Gibraltar and a further 2 nights in Seville. We flew from Liverpool to Seville airport and caught a taxi from the airport which took around 20 mins each way and cost around 20 euros. It turned out to be a fantastic place, and the 4 days we spent there was enough to appreciate the sights and get a real feel for the town, without overdoing it. It was August when we went so and it was incredibly hot, peaking about 38 ... Read the complete review

This article is an overview of Seville and is meant as a taster, which hopefully will encourage you to visit. My Hubby and myself recently had a two week vacation in the Algarve, Portugal. We took our fist trip to Spain ever, travelling from our base in Albufeira, by coach to Seville. The journey was not too bad and we had 4 hours free-time in Seville. It was however about 4 hours travelling time there and the same back. Much of the coach journey was fairly uninspiring as the countryside, when we travelled through Portugal, and then across Spain, was simply fields, a few trees and nothing particularly pretty or spectacular. We had to take our passports with us ... Read the complete review

We have set our sights on visiting the three great Moorish cities of Spain; Granada, Seville and Cordoba and, having visited Granada last year, decided to make it Seville this year. Once again it would be for just a long weekend, not really long enough, agreed, but as long as we could spare. The visit turned out to be very enjoyable although what we discovered was not entirely what we were expecting, in several ways. Getting there ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For such a short stay, flying is really the only option, no matter what the Green Lobby may say about the impact on the Environment. From the UK, direct flights to Seville are limited. I discovered that ... Read the complete review

When stepping foot into Seville, it's hard not to expect to see Don Juan wooing throngs of women, Bizet's Carmen stirring controversy, or the shop sign of Rossini's famous fictional barber. What you will see is a city with a passion for life, romance, and sunshine. Serviced by the muchly lauded Ave train, Seville is an easy getaway from Madrid's Atocha Station. The train ride is fast and comfortable and lasts just over two hours. Once in Seville, I was overwhelmed by its character and atmosphere. We stayed at the Hotel Simon, which is just a couple of blocks from the Catedral and in the heart of everything. The hotel itself was once an ... Read the complete review
