To stay in the centre of Seville can cost a small fortune - or can it?

Within five minutes walk of the bullring and the Giralda is a fantastic little hotel.

The Hotel Europa, tucked away in a narrow side street just off the Avenida de la Constitucion, is a real gem. Don't be put off by it's one star status - the welcome and helpfulness of the owner and his staff would put many four star hotels to shame.

The rooms, which are a lot larger than you would imagine, are beautifully cool after the heat of the Andalucian sun. They all come with spotlessly clean bathrooms, satellite tv and safe deposit boxes are available.

Such a central location, thankfully, comes at a modest price. Double rooms are just 100,000 ptas per night (approx £38.00). If you're driving to Seville, a private garage is available for a very reasonable 2,000 a day (around £8.00).
