Advantages: Beautiful

Disadvantages: Not much night-life other than at the hotels

Eden is the nickname they give the Seychelles, if you happen to be flying there by the "renown" Air Seychelles... as they play you promo. videos showing shoals of fish, and pictures such as the one that accompanies this article. Idealism? Selectivity? Hardly. It is all like this. The whole island is pleasant, and although it has it's downtrodden areas, they are not as bad as the English equivalent, and for a developing country, that is pretty good. OK, the Seychelles' main and most fruitful industry is no longer fishing, but tourism... so everything is done to ensure that you see all the right things, and are treated well. All the hotels are of an equal standard (save one) and each has air conditioning, en suite, minbar, and balcony as standard. In such a climate, this is somthing to be thankful for. I couldn't possibly tell you about everything the Island(s) have to offer in a short article, but it is definitely worth a visit. Everything is cheap, and at each restraunt, you can have as much of which ever food you like, all inclusive. Same with the beer, you can drink as much as you want for a set evening bar fee, something along the lines of £5 a night. Quite a good deal!

The best part however, is the scuba diving over the coral reefs that surround the Islands. In the seychelles, the coral is an area of world biological importance, so measures are taken to ensure it is conserved. If you are thinking twice... don't! Just visit it. It's paradise.
