Disadvantages: Poor food, poor customer service, poor hotel rooms and facilities

I visited Sharm El Sheikh for my honeymoon over new year last year. I stayed at the Royal Paradise Resort. This was my first and last time in Egypt unfortunately. From the start of the holiday it was dreadful. The hotel was pretty run down. We had to change rooms several times, The food was not edible. All guest staying at the time were registeing complaints. Since then we have all received compensation. This was through XL airways, who have since been declared bankrupt. Sharm El Sheikh on a whole is still having lots of work done to it. The shops were nice, the excursions were very good, however the beach was quite hard to find. Execpt the beacwith our hotel. This beach was not safe for children, it had a sheer cliff drop, or you could walk down steps to the beach. You had to walk down a jetty to get to the water due to the coral reef.

To be honest, i guess the hotel wrecked out trip, had we stayed in another hotel it could have been a different story, but who knows.

Summary: Not a hotel, or county I would visit again unfortunately
