If you're in California and you need to get away from the smoking cities for a bit you must go here. Massive rock faces to test your moves on and the most fantastic posing photo opportunities you'll ever get. If climbing isn't your thing then just go for a walk through the giant redwoods, you'll end up with a crick in your neck from looking up though! Much better to sweat yourself onto the top of the valley and look down and across- the views beat the Grand Canyon by miles.
Accomodation is limited to campsites and RV parks. They are much better than UK sites for facilities but as they're run by National Park Rangers they come under Federal Laws so there are some silly rules to stick to.
Top tip: beware of the racoons and BEARS stealing your food. Hoist it up a tree or lock in a bear bin. If you leave it in your car the bears will sniff it out and break your windows to get it- good photo if it's someonelse's!
