Cafalonia what a beautiful greek island myself and my partner were out there whilst they were filming captain corellis mandolin and it was fantastic this island has everything to offer for a quite peaceful and picturesque holiday the under ground lake close to sami is fantastic and the resteraunts in sami are on the seas edge you see turtles being tagged on the shore and released again and they are huge the mountains are fantastic and views fron mount enos are amazing mind the goats though they tend to clear the roads up the mountain when they feel like it. Siracusa, or Syracuse to give it the anglicised name, sits on the south-east corner of Sicily, baking away happily in the sunshine, but don't be mistaken into thinking this is a place for sunshine and nothing else, for Syracuse, as with much of Sicily, has a history to be hold to torch to any European nation. Easily accessible by train (if you are taking the East Coast line anyway - if you are coming for Palermo.. um... good luck !! no.. honestly, if you are coming from the West, take a bus because the train is much much longer, but from the east, the trains are better.. anyway, back to Syracuse..), it is a fairly easy city to navigate and splits quite ...  Read the complete review
