Sofia along with Vilnius and Zagreb is probably my favorite capital city in Europe. Bulgaria is quite a big nation compared to the others, so you may think that their capital would be the heavy-weight of the Balkans but it's not at all. I had no idea what to expect from my low cost trip to Sofia. I'd found a cheap budget flight to get there and that meant arriving at the older of the two airport terminals. Sofia, The capital of Bulgaria! Good footy team but otherwise is it worth going there? Well it's different! First problem has got to be the language, as a Language limited Brit I was really screwed!!
