SosuaNewest Review: ... down to earth, every day we would find ourselves talking to all the staff for at least an hour a day. The weather was fantastic, it was 35 degrees centigrade every day. Whilst there we went on organised trips and these were all amazing, the first was monster truck, the second horse riding, the third was an afternoon on a deserted island!!. If you want a holiday, then go here. It cost £500 all inclusive, the trips were not included in this but they only cost around £30 each. In the hotel there are 3 restaurants to choose from, a mexican, an italian and a seafood restaurant. The only gripe is to book any of them, you have to be up at aro... more |

Recently, my girlfriend and i visited Dominican Republic. We stayed in the Cas Marina Reef Hotel in Sosua. We both agree that this was the best time we have ever had. The staff at this hotel were absolutely excellent, they were polite, they couldn`t do enough for us and best of all they were very down to earth, every day we would find ourselves talking to all the staff for at least an hour a day. Sosua in the dominican republic may not be one of the major cities in the world, but as more and more people are visiting the dominican republic it needs a mention. Set on the north coast of the dominican republic, sosua is a shabby looking town from the outside, but once you forget the frills and get to know the people youll be lost in it's beauty. Still developing from shacks, their are some nice little clubs and discos down on the beach front area, and a water park on the outskirts. But its beauty lies in its enclosed beach, a large clear bay with coral heads for snorkelling and diving, well reachable from the beach area. Shopping for souviniers you ... Read the complete review

I've visited Sosua twice with my husband and fell in love with it the day we arrived. There is a charm quite like nothing I have ever experienced before when on holiday. The bedrooms are below par, it's dirty, the transport is deadly and you have people trying to sell to you from the second you step off the airoplane. All of that would drive me nuts at home but you put the beauty of the place in the background and the humor and charm of the dominicans and you have a remarkable experience. The drinks are fast and cheep and if you get a chance to buy some of the good rum then go for it, it's a treat even for the non-rum drinker. The Sosua beach is ... Read the complete review

We went to dominican Republic for our honeymoon and i can honestly say it was the best holiday we had ever had. We stayed in an all inclusive resort near to Sosua. However we did venture off our holiday resort village to travel into Sosua. When the mini-bus pulled into Sosua, lots of native ladies followed the bus and put their hands through the windows wanting to braid the ladies hair. Whilst walking through the streets locals were trying to sell you anything and everything. This was slightly annoying but the people are so poor and even on the beach one little boy about 5 years old came up to us and asked if he could wash our feet for the equvilant to 5p.
