Sturbridge is situated in central Massachusetts set among a beautiful area known locally as the Berkshires. There is one main attraction here and that is Old Sturbridge Village, a living museum. It’s a recreation of an early 1800’s New England town and includes many original artifacts and buildings. Like Mystic Seaport, Old Sturbridge Village is staffed by authentically dressed people who perform the tasks of daily life and explain to visitors how things would have been done in the 1800’s.
