Another must-see, the Folk Village(Han-gook Min-sok-jon in Korean) is easily accessible by bus from Suwon Station(take bus number 37 from the row of stops just to the left of the station entrance or the free shuttle bus(running hourly until 3.30pm) from the stand(located under the giant T.V. screen) to the right of the roundabout in front of the station(you can also purchase entrance tickets from the shop just behind the bus stop, to get there turn right as you come out of the station exit, walk past the taxi stands and walk across the first pedestrian crossing you see. A city of 750,000 inhabitants which serves as the provincial capital of Kyonggi Province, Suwon is an historic walled city with a plethora of interesting tourist sites. An easy day-trip from Seoul-Suwon is now a part of the rapidly expanding conurbation of satelite cities surrounding the capital-there are some sights, and food, here that should really not be missed. GETTING THERE The two best options for getting to Suwon are undoubtedly the train and the subway.
