Sure, Tahiti is a wonderful destination on it's own, but most tourists just stop there in their way to other great Polynesian islands, like Moreea, Bora Bora etc. So if you are here, in Tahiti, for only a short amount of time, you need to plan things right, so you'll get the most of your trip. First thing first: the location. If you are on Tahiti for only 1 or 2 days, you need to be very near to everything interesting, that means Papeete (the capital city) and the airport.
