The first railway in Malaysia was built from this town to the port. Apart from the rich history, the Lake Garden is one of the best scenery in Malaysia. There you will find plenty of man made lakes as a result of the tin industry a long time ago. You will find people from all walks of life relaxing there in the evening. Another interesting attraction to Taiping is the food. Here you can find a lot of varieties of local cuisine all served in the most original way. Not only these food is tasty but they are really cheap. You wont be double charged as you would get elsewhere especially in the capital. Make it a must to visit Taiping the next time you are in Malaysia.
