I have travelled to Thessaloniki for a couple of times over the last few years for business and pleasure.
If one of you has travelled to Athens previously, when you visit this city you will be astonished! nothing like the polution and chaos of Athens!
Situated next to the Thermaikos bay it is always a nice place to have long walks along the sea.
Night life or the traditional cafes are strategically situated almost next to the sea offering a beautiful view especially during the sunset.
I would have to recomend to those that travel to Thessaloniki to rent a car. This way you could visit the closely situated resorts and beautiful beaches of the neighbourly prefectory of Chalkidiki.
Thessaloniki; a city that offers almost everyhting to businessmen with excellent conference facilities, a beautiful place to visit with a beautiful bay and some great nightlife and THE place to travel to for your vacation having Chalkidiki next to your ... door!
