Thailand is a great country to spend some time as it offers fascinating culture, memorable experiences and a very pleasant climate. As a country as a whole it has so much to offer to a traveller/tourist. I was lucky enough to be able to spend 5 months travelling around Thailand in 2008 and it was by far my favourite country in South East Asia. I believe that it has something to offer everyone, and a range of different holidays to experience. For a beach holiday head to Phi Phi island, for learning a new skill head to Koh Tao to learn Scuba Diving (also with amazing beaches) or Chiang Mai to learn how to mahout an Asian elephant and support these magnificent creatures. Situated along white sandy coast and amongst lush mountains, Thailand is renowned to be a popular holiday destination. Thailand is a country in South East Asia, it borders Myanmar (Burma) to the northwest, Laos to the northeast, Cambodia to the southeast and Malaysia to the south. There are many things I like about Thailand. The spicy selection of delicious Thai food and Thai desserts, the intricate design of Thai fabric and silk and the immensely deep culture that is still very much prevalent in South East Asia. I have been to the Capital city Bangkok several time and I have always enjoyed wandering through countless market stalls located ... Read the complete review

It's not hard to see why Thailand has become such a popular tourist destination over the past couple of decades. The country does seem to have something for everyone, with the green mountains in the north west around Chiang Mai to the infamous beaches strung along the southern regions towards Malaysia. It manages to cater to all budgets, from backpacker guesthouses and bungalows to 4 or 5 Star hotels in Bangkok and beach resorts in Phuket. Then of course there are the Thai people themselves, who are generally friendly and hospitable people, and last but not least is the food; It is unquestionably one of the finest cuisines in the world with a vast ... I travelled to Thailand in August last year, and stayed for just over 1 month. This was my itinerary:- * Bangkok to Pattaya * Pattaya to Chaing Rai * Chaing Rai to Chaing Mai * Chaing Mai to Ko Pha-Ngan * Ko Pha-Ngan to Ko Samui * Ko Samui to Phuket * Phuket to Malaysia I fly into Bangkok and spend 3 days there. The food there was amazing, and the sights and sounds of the big city. I loved it. I found the Thai people to be friendly, with the exception of the odd male (I carried a picture of my brother and my 2 nieces and claimed they were my family, and this seemed to deter most men). I was travelling ... Read the complete review

I remember the day my fiance went completely mad with the effects of sun-stroke well. It was boiling hot, clear blue skies and we were sitting in a pool in India. He decided that we should get married. Not unusual for many I hear you say, even romantic - but my man was definitely not the wedded type! It seemed like a good idea so I agreed before he could change his mind! We both knew that we wanted something different, not a church and definitely not a registry office 5 minute wonder. I had heard tales of conveyor belt weddings in the Carribean which didn't appeal at all. I wanted to be a bride for the day not one of ten.... We had got engaged the year ... Read the complete review
