Treviso in Northern Italy is one of those magical little places that makes you want to go there again and again. In fact, I want to go there every year. In fact, no, I want to live there! I first discovered Treviso just over two years ago when planning a mini-break with my partner to Venice. At the time, romanticism had to take a back seat to sensible economics. A hotel stay in Venice itself is generally very expensive, so on our limited budget, we had to look at using a place on the outskirts of Venice as a base. Treviso lies about 20 kilometres north of her rather more illustrious neighbour, Venice.. and in an attempt to almost pour the scorn mainland Venetans often feel for the Most Serene Republic, the tourist office of Treviso market the town as the 'city of water'. And if you want water, so you find it. The Sile wends her ways in a most picturesque manner around the walls of the old city. Treviso is a very beautiful town with wonderful artistic treasures. If you want to visit Treviso, you could begin your tour from "Monte di Pietà"'s square, placed behind "Signori"'s square. In "Monte di Pietà"'s square, there is "Cappella dei rettori", a church with a lot of Fiumicelli's masterpieces.From "Signori" 's square, you can go easily to "Signori"'s square, the heart of the town, where you can see the "Prefettura" palace, the "Civica" tower, the "Trecento" palace and the "Loggia dei Cavalieri" (it was built in the XIII centuries ...
