A town with a lot of Masterpieces.. TREVISO (Treviso)

Treviso is a very beautiful town with wonderful artistic treasures.

If you want to visit Treviso, you could begin your tour from "Monte di Pietà"'s square, placed behind "Signori"'s square. In "Monte di Pietà"'s square, there is "Cappella dei rettori", a church with a lot of Fiumicelli's masterpieces.From "Signori" 's square, you can go easily to "Signori"'s square, the heart of the town, where you can see the "Prefettura" palace, the "Civica" tower, the "Trecento" palace and the "Loggia dei Cavalieri" (it was built in the XIII centuries and it contains a lot of paintings). Near "Dei Signori" square, there are the Cathedral and the Baptistery. The church is a very beautiful building with a lot of Tiziano's paintings. But the most beautiful and big building is "San Nicolò"'s church. It was built in the 1300 and it contains a lot of Tommaso's masterpieces.

"Santa Caterina"'s church contains paintings realized by Tommaso . They show Saint Orsola's life. In this church dere are "Cappella degli innocenti" and "chiostro". Near "Santa Caterina" church there is "Sant'Agostino"'s church. Then there is "San Francesco"'s church, an elegant building that contains Petrarca's daughter and Dante's son tombs.

The "Museo Cittadino" contains important paintings by Tiziano, Jacopo da Bassano , Pozzoserrato, Gianbattista and Giandomenico Tiepolo.

Walking for the town it is possible to admire beautiful bridges, channels and rivers.Treviso is a water's town, it reminds me Venice!

Treviso is a town where you can eat very good. There are some restaurants not expensive where you can eat very very good. There are: "Ai Mulini" restaurant and "Ai due Mori" restaurant. They&
#39;re 2 elegant restaurants. Speciality: the fish and good wines. Prices are not very high, about £ 12,00 for person and the service is excellent.

The most confortable hotels are: "Carlton" and "Continental" hotels. The prices aren't much high ( about £ 80,00 for a double room).
