TOURIST INFORMATION The main tourist centre is located directly opposite the train station. A smaller booth can be found at the Express Bus Terminal. Both have a wide range of leaflets on the city and nearby attractions such as Gyeongju and Busan. CITY TOURS Taewha Travel runs half day, full day and night tours around the city. Rather unflatteringly referred to as Korea's Pittsburgh, Ulsan is perhaps best known as the site of the world's biggest shipyard. “The Industrial Capital of Korea” has, in truth, very little to recommend itself in terms of scenic beauty and historic sights. You may wish to visit the World Cup Stadium, or go on an Industrial Tour; but you definitely won’t want to stay here for more than one day. GETTING THERE Belying its status as one of the major East Coast transportation hubs, the journey to Ulsan from Seoul is dull and time consuming.
