ValenciaNewest Review: ... cafes and restaurants as well as other attractions. The easiest way to get to Valencia is either by car (if you can park) or by train, which comes from the south as far as Gandia. The train isn't expensive and doesn't take too long. You can also get trains out of Valencia with the Renfe company to places such as Barcelona and Madrid. The main large shopping centre you will find in Valencia ... more |

Valencia is quite a large city on the north of the Costa Blanca coastline. It's famous for it's Valencian Paella, which is a typical Spanish dish and the Valencia-style one is made with chicken as opposed to sea food for example. Valencia has now hosted the F1 racing championships at the new circuit too. I visited Valencia last summer to go to the F1 as it was the first time being held in Valencia and it was an excellent experience but watch out for thieves if you ever do go! They are very professional and you need to be really careful. The city itself is quite large and has a whole host of shops, cafes and restaurants as well as other attractions. The easiest ... Valencia is hands down one of the best cities I have visited in the world, I love it as much as Buenos Aires! The people are incredibly friendly, and it has plenty to offer for everyone. What's more, its so accessible. If arriving by plane you can hop straight on the Metro which will take you right into the centre of town in about 20 minutes - and this metro isn't like the London underground, it's clean, modern and rarely uncomfortably packed. However, opting for a taxi will only set you back around 15-20 euros depending on traffic. Valencia has it all - nightlife, shopping, beach, things for the kids. If you're planning a night on the town ... Read the complete review

I'm going to start my review with a few facts about Valencia, it is the third largest city in Spain and has their own language called "Valenciano" It is a really nice city and you could have a great time there. There are many great hotels to stay in, loads of great restaurants, splendid weather, lots of things to do and many beaches to visit. The City of Arts and sciences is another great "must see" attraction in Valencia, there is a museum, which is great to visit with or without kids. It is near the river "Turia" which is now a garden. It is a nice area to have an ice cream and just relax, there is also a playground ... Read the complete review

Having lived in Valencia for the past 7 years, not once have I been disappointed with what it has to offer. Cultural and bubbly, with great architecture as you can see from the picture, and friendly people, I recommend a weekend away here as there is never nothing to do. The Hemisferic at the Museum of the Arts and the Sciences is one of the greatest attractions there, only about a 20 minute walk from the lovely port area of Valencia, which has recently been rennovated for the hosting of the famous Americas Cup. For those of you who prefer a more livly holiday, the clubs in Valencia do not fall short. Home to "Pacha Valencia" and many ... Read the complete review

We travelled to Valencia on a day trip from Benidorm on the Costa Blanca in May 2002. Our trip was organised from the hotel and lasted for the whole day. As well as visiting the tourist sites in the city we also went to the shopping centre on the outskirts...where I spent a good couple of hours in C & A buying all the bargains. Valencia is the third biggest city in Spain and is the Capital of the region of Valencia. It has a population of around 800,000 people and is also a very popular tourist resort. It is famous for being the home of Paella, its fruit and vegetable market (a huge one that rivals those in most of Europe), the oranges that grow in the ... Read the complete review
