Advantages: A good place to visit.

Disadvantages: No beach :P

Valladolid is a not too big, not too small city in the middle of Castilla-León. A very old city with a lot of history, and ineresting places to visit:

The Monument to Columbus; The Church of the Vera Cruz, building in 1595; The cathedral, designed by the famous (In Spain he is famous ;) ) Juan de Juni in 1922; The university (1345), San Pablo's Church (1479) The Palacio Real, The Plaza Mayor, where the town hall is; The place where Cervantes lived, ot the house where Columbus died.

In the middle of the city you can see a big Park called "El campo grande", with a little lake full of ducks and some exotic birds.



Valladolid have a great nightlife. (Ok, ok, not so good as Madrid or Barcelona) It's FULL of bars, pubs and discotheques, who usually close at 5 or 6 a.m on weekends ;)and his people is kind and friendly.

Valladolid is VERY, VERY cheap... you can drink beer and kalimocho (Coke with red wine) all the night for only 1500 pesetas, and sleep in some hostals for 2000 pesetas. (1£= 270 pesetas) if you know where.

You can eat "tapas" in a lot of bars.
The food here is excellent.

The best of all is that Valladolid is a very pacefull city.

If you are bored of Valladolid, Madrid is very near (Only 2 hours)
