VeniceNewest Review: ... so you can buy a little bag of unpopped corn to feed them with. Once they see that you have a bag of food, they are very tame and will perch on your arms/shoulders/head etc! They are friendly though and didn't peck or scratch or anything. I visited Venice in October of '07 and really loved it. I stayed in Lido which wasn't a very good idea as it was a bit confusing trying to find out how to get to the actual city of Venice! Once we got there however, it was really such a unique place. It's really strange to think that you're not really on actual land, rather fake land but all these lovely old building are just great. Be careful where you go, as i went to one and you hardly get ...

On first impressions, Venice appears not to have much of an atmosphere, as on arrival in St Marks Square, you are greeted with a sea of tourists (and pigeons!). St Marks Basilica is an amazing building both inside and out, and the vastness of St Marks Square is also quite breathtaking. Beware of the costs of food & drink in this area however! You will be charged a fortune. Once we had taken the lift to the top of the Campanile, and appreciated the views of ...
