This country is truly wonderful. Please put away all the horror stories you may have read in the press and on the news because despite all of these Yemen is worth it's weight in gold. Situated on the very south-westerly tip of the middle east, and literally a stones throw away from Africa this country is really a land that time forgot. Stepping off the plane you are hit by a dry heat as if the desert is trying to mummify you on contact and it may feel cloying at first. But at least it's not humid to boot.
