The Greek island of Zante is a beautiful place to go. When I went there I stayed in Kalamaki, but I visited the entire island via arranged trips.

There is lots to do and see on Zante, from seeing the stunning churches to the smugglers ship. The smugglers ship is basically a rusted tin ship which was washed ashore (and the locals enjoyed plundering it!). It is set on a tiny, secluded beach, which you can only get to by boat, and is surrouned by the bluest of blue water! There are various trips to undertake on the island, from visitign the mainland by boat or going on a trip to see the quaint local villages.

Zante town is a real suprise. I went there expecting the usual touristesque style shops, but there were some real quality shops there, a place to be able to get very nice and very unique, gifts (particularly the jewellery). The island also offers a wide selection of bars and restaraunts serving almost any kind of food you'd care to mention. If you like sand, sun, sea and great food, then this is definately the place for you to go, you'll love every second of it!

Summary: A gorgeous place to spend your hoidays.
