Advantages: awesome ride

Disadvantages: i can't think of one

I was visiting a friend from Tintwistle a year ago and his only mode of transportation was his Harley. He took me to all of the normal places, Manchester (a real snooze, once you've been to one city you've seen them all), a really cool rope factory near Glossop, it was a great time....but one of my two favorite days of all was when we went for a long bike ride through Snake Pass.... I'm from Northern California coast and used to scenic beauty and fog, Snake Pass rates right up there in the top 5 for me.... if you're out in the area and want a beautiful ride with loads of places to stop and sort yourself out, Snake Pass is one of the best.....

Just a tad short, would have liked to learn more about the Snake Pass.

Hi people...I really didn't expect to hear any more after my initial post.. glad to hear from you all...my trip to UK was a bit shorter than i wanted, but i'm not dead yet..i loved tintwistle and i admit i did the tourist thing while i was there, but i also believe that when you see things from the back of a motorcycle, as opposed to the back of a car, you see alot more...i'm from a small town about 20 miles south of san francisco called pacifica, its on the breakers side of the bay and its supposedly the foggiest spot in all of northern california, we have dramatic hills and cliffsides there and the scenery is quite spectacular, so maybe that's the reason i liked snake pass so much... as to the harsh winters there, i hope to see it some day..... i recently returned to the states from living in the netherlands for a while, another of my favorite places for many reasons, the people are friendly and peaceful and the countryside great for bicycle riding....proost and happy traveling to you all.
