The Druid Inn - food haven in the Peak District (Peak District)
Member Name: ckmaverick
Advantages: Delicious food, friendly owner, reasonable price Disadvantages: You'll need a car to get there
If you decide to pack you bag and drive off into the Peak District this summer, don't miss out on the Druid Inn. It's a lovely pub in Birchover, Derbyshire, just a couple of minutes from the Buxton, Bakewell and Matlock, all of which you'd put on your list of must-see places. The Druid Inn is named after the druids who practised their magic amidst Rowter Rocks, immediately above the pub. At first, I wondered how this little place, out in the middle of nowhere, could be this popular - until I tried it for myself. Summary: |
