I never envisaged buying a netbook but my mum aged 65 bought One and I was so impressed that I went out and bought the same one as she had. This is perfect for someone who enjoys surfing the net. My children use it for MSN, bebo, facebook etc and it is just brilliant. I am not too good at the technical talk but this has significant memory. We have hundreds of pictures on it. Dozens of music albums and a few films. Nowhere near its full capacity yet. It is very very easy to use. My mum has now got a bigger laptop as she was having difficulty seeing the screen but still has her netbook for her grandchildren to use when they go and visit. THe keyboard seems small initially ...

is no DVD drive thus installation of some software will be a little more tricky. Another thing that i noticed is the sound, which is i think is not so clear. The battery life is a little bit short for me (5-6 hours) who is an internet addict. Oh well, it will be good to bring an extra one just in case. All in all, i think the overall performance of this Acer Aspire One is satisfactory. And since it is Acer i expect this product will stay with me for a very long ...

The Acer Aspire One model is a notebook I recently bought from PC world, it was on offer for £199. I needed a cheap notebook to carry out simple tasks such as using MS office and run some simple accounts software. I also wanted Wi-Fi to access the internet via my home PC router, so this notebook seemed ideal for what I was looking for. The notebook itself comes with Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition O/S.
