This laptop from Acer is great. It falls into the netbook category of laptops- which means due to its size, you would not want to be using it everyday. Having said that, its so small and light it would fit into a medium handbag, or small racksack. The performance is provided by a healthy intel atom chip, running at 1.6ghz, which when running the linux or windows xp operating systems means its no slow-mo. With 1gb of ram, it can run quite a few programs as well. It has a 160gb hard drive, which means its going to store all the music, pictures and films that your going to need on the move. Bought this netbook 2 months ago for £170 pounds. When it came it had Linux installed on it. I felt more comfortable with windows XP on it as all of my software uses windows so i decided to install Windows Xp on it. Easily done using Acer's online website - it had all the drivers that i needed. First and foremost is the weight - very light and extremely portable. The 10.1 inch screen quality is bright and clear, with the keyboard very user friendly. Battery life is around two hours but the charging time is extremely quick.
