Advantages: Cheap, Portable
Disadvantages: Crashes, rather a lot!
I bought my Asus Eee PC a few months ago now.
I bought the version that runs Linux, rather than XP. Mainly because it was cheaper, and the Hard Disk Drive was larger.
For the first few weeks, I enjoyed the novelty of working on a small netbook, and I thought it looked very nice. I also enjoyed being able to carry it around with ease, and the fact that it had rather good battery usage.
After a couple of weeks however, I started to notice the fact that, the Eee PC was freezing up rather often. Also, Firefox would often just crash, for no apparent reason. (Firefox is the Eee PC's internet browser.) This started to really annoy me and I felt that i couldn't start anything important, incase I got interrupted and it crashed!
I thought that maybe it was only my machine, but it turns out that, both my brother and sister; (who have identical machines,) were experiencing exactly the same problems.
The price of this machine, seems to make it rather attractive, but I feel, that the problems I have experienced, do not warrant buying the machine, hence why I have bought myself a lovely Macbook, (but that's another story!)
Summary: I wouldn't recommend one to be honest!
