Asus Eee PC 1000

Premium Review Eee pc 1000, best netbook for portable use. (241 words)

When i decided to buy a netbook, the decision ended up being between this and the samsung. I chose this and have never regreted it since. The Eee PC 1000 is an amazing netbook. The case is rock solid, and you can pick it up safely by the corner of the screen. It looks reasonably nice too, and doesnt look like a toy like some other netbooks. The keyboard is great, it feels suprisingly normal, and the keys have a decent amount of travel. the trackpad is also cool, and supports macbook air-like features, such as the pinchy zoom thing, and 2 finger scroll. The mouse buttons are a bit clicky, but you get used to them. But the best thing about it is the battery life. With all ...

Asus Eee PC 901 GO

Premium Review Not quite right (214 words)

I bought my Asus Eee PC a few months ago now. I bought the version that runs Linux, rather than XP. Mainly because it was cheaper, and the Hard Disk Drive was larger. For the first few weeks, I enjoyed the novelty of working on a small netbook, and I thought it looked very nice. I also enjoyed being able to carry it around with ease, and the fact that it had rather good battery usage. After a couple of weeks however, I started to notice the fact that, the Eee PC was freezing up rather often. Also, Firefox would often just crash, for no apparent reason. (Firefox is the Eee PC s internet browser.) This started to really annoy me and I felt that i couldn t start anything ...

Asus Eee PC 1000H

Premium Review Mini computing in a quality package (406 words)

I was very lucky to get our Asus Eee PC 1000H today. The version I have here is a 10-inch Windows XP version, with 1GB RAM and an 80GB hard drive. Having only just unboxed the tiny wonder and played with it for around one hour, this is my very early impressions. Firstly, the accessories you get in the box make it seem a lot better value than other offerings. The stumpy, yet high capacity battery should yield much longer runtimes than the 3-cell batteries shipping with other netbooks. You also get a nice little manual, a polishing cloth, Support CD and MS Works 9.0 licence. There is also a slip case, which is functional and means you can get out-and-about with your Eee ...
