Advantages: small, mobile
Disadvantages: small battery life, not powerfull
I have owned the 1005HA and the 900A now, and i much prefer the 1005HA.
this larger eee PC has several advantages over the smaller models. its keyboard is larger, and so it is much easier to type quickly. this may sound like a small issue, but it really makes the difference in writing anything longer than a facebook or msn conversation. on the other hand, i prefer the mouse pad of the 900A, mainly because the 100HA has a single button, which means you can accidentally right and left click at the same time. again this sounds like fussing, but it gets annoying.
the 1005HA also has bluetooth, which the 900A lacks completely. the screen is also bigger which is the main advantage, although this does mean a larger drain on the battery life. most internet pages fit well on the screen, although there is a noticeable difference between this and normal laptop screens. the battery is usable, and you can get extras and larger ones, but it wont last more than a few hours with brightness and wifi.
this also comes with windows XP installed, and the bundled software isn't too intrusive (unlike other manufacturers). the laptop itself looks very nice (i have the black model) and seems fairly sturdy and well built.
Overall i would recommend this product, but it is a netbook and not a full laptop. it will struggle with programs sometimes and will not play games apart from flash online games. if all you need is email, messenger and office tools this is perfect, but for anything higher demand i would recommend a core 2 duo laptop for around £350.
Summary: for web and office its brilliant, not alot more to give
