I bought this laptop a few months ago purely as a tool to use the internet on the go and to write word documents. This was not my main computer as I had a desktop at home and so don't use it for storing too much data or media. I bought this from PC world without putting too much research in and mainly decided on which to get through the advice of staff at PC world. The main reason i went for this was due to the exceptional battery life it advertised which was over 9 hours. This was far greater than any others in the shop and has performed ever so well in terms of battery life, although like all battery life it hasn't truly lived up to what it claims it has still performed brilliantly and I never feel the need to carry a charger around with me. Another reason for going with an HP was because i was told they had a superior customer service which luckily so far I have not needed to use. Other advantages i have found is the sleek design and colour of the laptop and is generally very robust. I have had few a accidents where I've dropped the laptop but all seems to work well still. It is also has 3 USB inputs which is useful.
For the way I use this net book there are very little problems for me however there are a few issues I have come across. Firstly the mouse track pad is not the best and i have found it to be inferior to those of apple laptops and other windows computers. The scroll down function on the mouse pad is particularly poor and i find it to be unusable. Certain pieces of software have also failed to perform adequately, if you intend to use any kind of games then this is not the computer for you as many wont work. Although it is fine for using word i found excel to be a little slow and for those of you who might like to use SPSS it is very poor. Using multiple programs seriously slows down the computer although you would expect that with only 1GB of RAM.
Overall i feel that if you want a mobile internet source with a brilliant battery life then I seriously recommend this net book. I bought it for £270 around 6 months and I would buy it again for the same price today.
Go everywhere, and stay connected - without technology weighing you down. With its thin, versatile design, the HP Mini 110 gives you true mobile computing with the freedom and tools to do more of what you want, wherever you want.
