I have bought two fo these machines, One for myself and one for my girlfriend both have been in use everyday for the last two years now. Initially it looks like a very nice, well built machine. The Intel Atom 1.6 processor and the 1GB of RAM (which I upgraded to 2GB on both machines) proves very quick. It will happily run XP office 2007 and all the normal programs. The only downside to these is the fact they do-not come with a CD Drive so installing software from a CD or DVD can end up being awquard.
There seems to be a conflict of opinion between owners of these about wether upgrading the memory invalidates the warranty. I emailed this question to MSI support and they told me that upgrading the memory will not effect the warranty.
In my opinion the laptop (after using it for a few weeks) feels very flimsy and the plasitc is very thin. The touch pad is also very quick to wear down which can leave the machine looking very unsightly. I would definately reccomend going for something like a HP or a more well known brand. The only reason I purchased two of these was because they were simply the best spec'd machine for the price at the time.
