Advantages: Stylish, great batterylife, runs XP well, light, decent keyboard

Disadvantages: Power hungry apps are probably not suited to this machine

This little wonder is excellent value for money considering the specifications. With 160gb of space, your average user will have plenty of room for music, video and other documents.

Windows XP runs like a dream, for those who like to upgrade the OS, I didn't have a great experience with Vista, which was more than a little sluggish. So I reverted back to the original XP install. I am currently testing out Windows 7 on the NC10 and whilst many people have reported it running well, I am not having the same experience. However more tweaking may be required.

The battery life is excellent, I generally have a lot running in the background whilst I work and regularly get over 5 hours before it shuts down, considering I have been using it for 9 months, that's pretty impressive.

If you're thinking about gaming however, this isn't the machine for you. The GMA 950 coupled with the Atom processor is just not powerful enough to run most modern games. I've had limited success with a few, but even then, they've been sluggish. However if you're into the retro gaming scene, or like less flashy games like Peggle, you shouldn't have any problems.

If you're looking for a light machine, to do everyday tasks like checking email, browsing the web and maybe a little work away from work. The NC10 is probably exactly what you need.

Summary: If you're looking for a netbook for light tasks... it's excellent
