I bought this Toshiba NB100 in December 2009 and it has served me extremely well.

When I decided I was going to purchase a Netbook I took a look at the other machines on the market at that time and I felt that this was the most robust of the lot.

The machine has run very well with an Windows XP 32bit Operating System and 1GB of ram, the laptop was mainly bought to browse the web but I soon purchased the Serif Webplus x4 application to install on it. The system is running fine and I have had no problems and even with the Serif applications it handles them all very well.

The screen display is good and when I plugged it into an external monitor it was very clear with many resolutions. The machine has never let me down, with the option to turn the fan off as well means that the machine can run smoothly and quietly.

The only negatives would be that the keyboard is quite cramp and when working for long periods this can become frustrating, the other thing is that the track pad has slightly lifted on one side which looks to me as if a component underneath is pushing on this. (I failed to contact Toshiba regarding this before the warranty ran out)

Overall I would say that this is an excellent machine to just throw in your bag and run, the battery life is good and can last a good 3-4 hours.
