Toshiba NB500 108I wouldn't choose it! (245 words)

My school does a ne tbook scheme where every pupil gets a net book. My year group were given the T Toshiba NB500 in black. At first I was very happy with the net book but over time things started to go wrong. At first look the net book looks OK. It has a matte dimpled lid which feels quite flimsy. I would say it does have a very good keyboard for a net book and a nice clear glossy screen but they would have to be the only good things about the net book. Over time the net book has seemed to get slower and slower, I cannot be sure whether this is because of all of the software my school has downloaded or the net book. Another fault was the wobbly hinges, this lead the ...

The outside is a shiny black with Toshiba written on it. It is a neat little unit with 10.1 screen. Along the front are a series of lights - power, wireless and battery. The caps lock key has a small yellow light which illuminates when it is on. My first impression was that it was well made for being so small. The keyboard takes a little getting used to because ...

Traveling around the world I needed a small footprint laptop. The nb100 came to mind because of its price and size. I checked a lot of other machines but liked the keyboard and the touch pad which wasn't bad. The in built web cam works well with skype messenger etc. I paid a little extra money (25 pounds) to double the available memory which made a huge difference and really i worth it. I have also used the unit with an external keyboard and monitor which turns the unit literally into a portable office. Negative aspects- the keyboard is little difficult to read in low light conditions. The battery seems to be inconstant lasting sometimes for an hour sometimes for 3 ...
