SMC EZ Connect SMCANT-CEILINGBOX ... consists of a 5 dBi Omni-Directional High Gain Antenna, 100 mWI Amplifier, SMCAMP-INJ Power Injector, and Power over Ethernet remote unit that fit into one easily mountable unit. The Ceiling Box fits in a standard suspended ceiling structure and provides an increased operating range of up to 3, 000 square meters (30, 000 sq feet). The Ceiling Box is plug and play and requires no configuration. It is compatible with IEEE 802.11b/g-compliant 2.4GHz Access Points and bridges with removable antennas, including SMC's Elite Connect line of Access Points and Bridges, such as the SMC2582W-B 11 Mbps Wireless Bridge. It also complies with the IEEE 802.11b 2.4Ghz frequency band, which allows the Ceiling Box to operate in a license-free public spectrum. The Power Over Ethernet unit incorporated into the Ceiling Box allows for single cable connectivity up to 100 m (330 ft) away from the nearest available power source.
