3Com FDDILink PCI Fiber DAS ... Drivers for supported operating systems provide the configuration flexibility required in multivendor networks.

This fiber-optic DAS adapter plugs into a single bus master PCI I/O bus slot. The port B and port A duplex SC connectors interface with the FDDI fiber-optic cable. The adapter contains on-board diagnostics that execute when power is applied. The B and A LEDs on the adapter's mounting bracket indicate the operating status of the adapter and its PHY ports. The fiber-optic DAS adapter contains an RJ-12 connector for inserting an optional third-party optical bypass relay (OBR). This relay maintains connectivity of the FDDI ring in the absence of power or during fault conditions in the node. (3Com does not supply OBR devices.)
