Allied Telesis AT 2450FTX ... memory-intensive applications. These high performance adapters utilize the 32-bit PCI bus architecture and have data throughput rates up to 16 times faster than ISA bus adapters. By offloading almost all of the Fast Ethernet networking functions to the adapter card, the CPU in a computer is free to run applications faster.
