The Digi One Single Port device server is the first of its kind to offer the option of powered Ethernet, eliminating the need for an external power supply and additional cabling. The compact design is an ideal fit for point-of-sale, retail automation, industrial automation process control or data collection, education and many other markets. Any device with a serial port, including terminals, printers, modems, access controllers, tooling machines, alarm systems, scales, and monitoring and data collection devices can be attached to the Ethernet. The Digi One Embedded device server offers equipment manufacturers a quick, simple way to add network connectivity to their products in the smallest form factor available (61 x 29mm). Designed to support the harsh environmental requirements of industrial machinery, the Digi One Embedded is equally at home inside a variety of consumer-friendly machines and appliances, including beverage machines, refrigerators, televisions, HVAC units, building or home control systems and more. With the Digi One Embedded, OEMs no longer need to invest additional time and money to network-enable their essential devices. The Digi One PE offers the industry's first powered Ethernet option (802.3 af), eliminating the need for an external power supply.
