... an incredible disappointment that the CHD3NET only supports FAT32! It makes it quite useless as a network drive! Updates over the LAN from any file system with complex filenames, large file sizes, etc. are next to impossible. Unless Conceptronic updates the firmware and adds support for a modern journaling file systems such as NTFS or EXT2 or 3, this is a strong argument to stay away from this product. As a USB... Iomega Home Network Hard Drive 1 TB ... is a GREAT product. Why? Well it has a lot of storage for one thing, and is fairly easy to set up. it connects to your network via USB or Category 5 e cables allowing soaring speeds. One thing i would watch out for would be the quality. While this hard drive it self is great one of my internal connections was a bit loose (i found this after opening it up when it mysteriously stopped working about a week ago) and not being especially tech savvy and not owning a soldiering iron i sent it into Iomega for repairs. well the cost of that un was not impressive. £42 for shipping both ways and they wanted to charge me for repairs before i told them it was well under warr... Apple Time Capsule 1 TB ... always seem to innovate, with ultra-cool new products. Their launch of the Time Capsule amazed me. It seemed so call. Answered what I really needed in a device (with one exception) and was one of the few products that I actually pre-ordered and had the patience to wait for its arrival. My Time Capsule cost me £329 for the 1TB (Terrabyte) version, though there is also a lower capacity version offering 500GB for £199.
