Almost perfect (Apple Time Capsule 2 TB)

Advantages: Fast network, huge storage, easy setup

Disadvantages: No ADSL or cable... So 2 boxes needed

I bought this for its huge capacity and to upgrade to wireless "n" speeds.

Out of the box the device is easy to set up, and in seconds I have a new network. My MacBook found the storage easily and time machine was simply configured and running its initial backup. WARNING: do this first backup with your computer wired to the network... Especially if running laptops as it takes forever. My desktop machine stays on 24/7 and so wireless speed wasn't an issue there.

Before long my trusty MacBook was all backed up and back wireless. Later backups are sequential so, running every hour, they take a matter of seconds.

Next job, internet. I decided to connect to my old router by cable... As wireless I'd be back to G network speeds for internet access. This all went smoothly, and my new network now supplied internet.

Whilst the time capsule does everything it says on the box extremely well, I can't help but ask why Apple didn't include ADSL or Cable support for what it would cost development wise, I think Apple have made a mistake here. So my new beautiful Apple box has an ugly old router sat on top of it :(
