A great piece of hardware that can serve many purposes. As well as being used as additional storage, more and more small to medium sized businesses are using such devices for backup purposes as traditional tape backup devices often get very expensive when the amount of data increases.

The Buffalo has an easy to use web interface where the internal drives can be managed, different shared folders can be setup along with specific permissions. The interface also allows you to configure the device to use a statically assigned IP address or alternatively automaticaly obtain an IP address from a DHCP server.

The build quality is very good and generally robust in the case of being knocked over.

Being from the Buffalo brand this is another product that you can have the comfort knowing it will be reliable and do what it says on the tin. Competitively priced against other market competitors.
