Its quiet and doesnt generate much heat and takes up little space. The user interface is good, and you can configure the drive and set access rights and new shares. One slight concern that I have is that if the motherboard in the case fails, how can you recover the data? Will a new Terastation have to be purchased to transfer the drives into?...more

Do you need lots of storage space for your data? This could be the answer. These Terastation Pros are available in several sizes, there are four hard drives which can be configured as Raid 5 or mirrored. Raid 5 is the best option as if one drive fails it can simply be replaced and the data can be recovered. Buffalo offer a drive replacement service, or you can just source a drive of the same specification yourself.
