      Very helpful

Brilliant purchase to unite all computers in a household

I came across this product after a friend of mine told me about his network hardrive. It sounded like the perfect thing for me as I love to digitize all of my films but hate wires hanging out of my laptop. The product is as sleek and minimalist as it looks in the pictures, fitting nicely into any modern surrounding.

Its really simple to set up. You merely plug the box into the back of your network router using the included cables and thats it. Oh and of course the mains plug but thats pretty self explanitory. Then to access the drive you simply insert the included disk into your computer and activate the network assistant, job done. This is a brilliant system as you can then put anything and everything you wish to share between computers on the same network onto it and they can be accessed immediatley.

Now everytime I or anyone else in my family gets a new computer we merely install the drive onto it and they can instantly access everything. It also works for both PC and Mac which is a huge advantage.

Another feature of this product that I absoloutly love is it's streaming ability. Mine currently has around 400 GB worth of film on it and this cannot only be accessed by every computer in the house but also by both Playstation 3's, which need no installation at all. However, if you intend to do this I would recommend that you use a programme called handbreak to condense your films to around 700mb per movie, as anything over this amount can have streaming difficulties due to the sheer size.

But all in all this device has proven to be one of my greatest purchases to date. Plus for only £90 it was an absoloute bargain.
