FileZerver offers better RAID data protection than any product in its class, providing users with affordability and reliability. While competing products offer support only for RAID 5 (Distributed Data and Parity), FileZerver simultaneously supports RAID 0 (striping), RAID 1 (mirroring) and RAID 5. FileZerver is the first workgroup storage appliance providing the administrator the ability to create and manage application or user-specific storage pools: RAID protection levels, user access, and backup strategy. FileZerver offers client access via Windows, HTTP and UNIX NFS and network support for Windows NCP and NetWare. Microtest designed FileZerver to be easily administered by departmental employees with limited computing know-how. The system's software - which is embedded in FileZerver itself - is configured and managed through a simple browser-based interface.
