Tandberg Storagecab 12S-NAS 876 GB ... These storage solutions are integrated as a Network Attached Storage (NAS) system into the topology of an existing network.

The Linux-based Tandberg StorageCab ServerV operating system, which is installed on the StorageCab systems, operates and manages the JBOD, JBOD/Tape devices and the 10/100Mbit Ethernet-interface. The ServerV NAS operating system configures the hard disk array in a predetermined RAID-level, whereby the operational reliability and availability of the data is guaranteed. Additional, the server is equipped with a second SCSI-interface, which takes over the data storage for the organized RAID-system.

Two 10/100 Mbit Ethernet-interfaces are available for the network. The system utilizes the TCP/IP-protocol and can be easy integrated into Windows-, NetWare- or UNIX-based platforms. Administration is made easy via a web browser, including monitoring and configuration.

With the aid of the Tandberg Data management software SManager, which is connected to a PC via a serial RS 232 (V24) COM-interface, all StorageCab solutions can be administrated and monitored.

The StorageCab NAS-solution contains hot swappable hard disks. 12S-NAS products are equipped with redundant and hot swappable power supplies and fans. They are available either as tower or in a rackmount configuration.

The robust mechanical design and the high-quality components contribute to the operating reliability as well as the monitoring of the individual components and the internal operating temperature.
