Additionally, it simplifies branch office network deployment and management and delivers higher reliability because a single platform means fewer points of failure in the network and less risk of cabling error. By providing a single network acceleration access point, the WAAM and MSR platform enable IT to more efficiently manage fast and reliable distributed application access with fewer servers and other specialized appliances.

The WAAM features acceleration technologies. It optimizes traffic transparently without tunneling, simplifying integration into the network infrastructure now and in the future. The WAAM works with HSRP/VRRP and WCCP and maintains original protocol headers (IP, TCP, UDP, etc.) so that there is minimal impact on the network, while also preserving investments in other systems that rely on the accuracy of these headers.
