Each blade is both hot insertable and removable, allowing additions to a network to take place without disruption to other users. PowerBlade can operate as an unmanaged chassis, or fully manageable with the addition of the optional AT-PBM02 SNMP management module. Each PowerBlade chassis can accommodate one primary and one standby power supply, either standard 110/240VAC or - 48V DC power for Telco users.

The switch supports a complete range of management including both SNMP and Telnet management, allowing the switch to be easily integrated into any existing network. And, PowerBlade was designed to allow any type of network interface to be added to the chassis. Therefore, as technology progresses and new standards emerge, any investment in PowerBlade will be protected as the chassis can be upgraded with new media blades.
